How does Dawnswap work ?▼
Dawnswap is an open source decentralized peer-to-peer trading network. The software runs on your own machine, allowing you to trade with other people using the same software.
How does Dawnswap handle privacy and security ? ▼
Dawnswap, a Haveno network, is open source, uses Tor and Monero combined with end to end encryption to allow you to focus on safe trading. Dawnswap will never ask you for credentials or sensitive data. Only arbitrators when resolving disputes will require from both parties information to conclude a case opened in the Dawnswap Haveno software.
Which crypto currencies are supported ? ▼
Dawnswap supports currently the following crypto currenties:
Monero, Bitcoin, USDT (ERC-20 + TRC-20), USDC, Ethereum, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, DAI
Which fiat currencies and payment methods are supported ?▼
Most fiat currencies are support using many common payment methods from all over the world including cash in person.
What do i need to start using Dawnswap ?▼
Just a computer and an internet connection to start trading. Create your trade account profile and start trading. All data is stored locally on your computer and only what is needed for the trade is shared with your trade partner.
When a new version of Dawnswap is available do i get a notification ?▼
Yes, when a new release is launched a notification will appear to indicate this. We strongly recommend to upgrade when a new version is available.
Do you use PGP to sign releases and important communication ?▼
Yes, we strongly recommend to save our public PGP key from our contact page to always be able to check any signed release / data or important communication is authentic and from us.
Does Dawnswap do KYC ?▼
No, Dawnswap is open source decentralized software where people trade directly with each other. It remains always important to do your own research and taking appropriate measures depending on your requirements and that of your jurisdiction.
How long do transactions take ?▼
This depends on the trade method and trader. A crypto transaction can conclude in minutes while fiat methods can take longer depending on the payment method.
How does Dawnswap resolve trade disputes ?▼
Traders can activate the builtin arbitration protocol in case a dispute arises. One of the arbitrators takes the case following procedure to gather information and further evidence from both traders. All arbitrators will resolve a dispute in a clear and fair way.
Are there trading fees ?▼
Dawnswap charges a minor fee which is used to maintain and support the Haveno based platform operations. Currently the taker fee is set to 0.5 % and maker fee is 0.1 %.
Is there an option to set Tor Bridges ?▼
Yes, go to [Settings] -> [Network Info] and scroll to the bottom of the page to select [Open Tor settings]. You can also set custom Tor Bridges.
